Soccer Game Preview: Legacy Charter vs. First Academy

Legacy Charter will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against First Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Neither Legacy Charter nor Central Florida Christian Academy could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Legacy Charter's first draw of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Seth Green, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, First Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They never let Umatilla get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for First Academy, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

With that draw, Legacy Charter's record moves to 2-4-1. As for First Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0-1.

Everything went Legacy Charter's way against First Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, as Legacy Charter made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Legacy Charter since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
