Baseball Game Preview: Stevenson Bulldogs vs. La Center Wildcats

For the second straight game, Stevenson will face off against La Center. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Stevenson has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while La Center will arrive with four straight wins.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Stevenson's offense. They came up short against La Center on Tuesday, falling 30-0.

For La Center's part, Caden Taylor was a standout: he scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave Taylor a new career-high. Justin Fuller was another key player, going 2-for-6 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

La Center kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.

Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for La Center, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
