Recap: Bacon County Raiders vs. Irwin County Indians

The Bacon County Raiders pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Irwin County. Even though they lost, Bacon County's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.4 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xavier Harris, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ke'Shawn Holmes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Bacon County are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8. As for Irwin County, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bacon County will take on Pelham at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Irwin County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brooks County at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Brooks County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.6 points per game.
