St. Patrick won the last time they faced Resurrection Catholic and things went their way on Saturday too. The Fighting Irish walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Alden Williams, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaz Byers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

St. Patrick's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 14-8. As for Resurrection Catholic, they dropped their record down to 11-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Patrick will host Perry Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Resurrection Catholic, they will welcome Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
