Football Recap: Sweet Grass County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Sweet Grass County extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were outmatched by the Jefferson Panthers and fell 42-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sheepherders of the 48-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Sweet Grass County lost, don't look at Colter Anderson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 99 yards and one touchdown.

As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 6.48 yards per carry in those games compared to only 2.3 in the others.

Tyzer Zody produced another solid effort throwing for 208 yards and four TDs, while also rushing for 93 yards and one score on only ten carries. Jefferson is undefeated when Zody posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Cobe Burnett was in the mix too, providing the Panthers with three touchdowns.
