Softball Game Preview: Rancho Dominguez Lobos vs. Carson Colts

Rancho Dominguez hasn't had much luck against Carson recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Rancho Dominguez will host Carson at 3:15 p.m. One thing working in Rancho Dominguez's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

On Monday, Rancho Dominguez got the win against Dymally by a conclusive 33-4.

Meanwhile, Carson is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Salpointe Catholic. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The match marked the Colts' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Giselle Pantoja spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

Carson's draw makes their record 11-0-1 this season. As for Rancho Dominguez, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
