Baseball Recap: The Webb Schools Comes Up Short

The Webb Schools came into this matchup off a tough seven-run loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Sierra Vista Dons by a score of 5-3 on Saturday.

Jack Yuan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alec Kaushal, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

The Webb Schools' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sierra Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Webb Schools will take on California Lutheran at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sierra Vista, they will square off against Nogales at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give Nogales their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
