Softball Recap: Peachtree Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Peachtree Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Covington Academy Bulldogs 11-9. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs last Monday, they had to take a 8-4 loss.

Peachtree Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Covington Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peachtree Academy will welcome Scholars Guild Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scholars Guild Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Peachtree Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Covington Academy, they will host Skipstone Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
