Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Piedmont). They enjoyed a cozy 78-59 win over the Parkwood Wolf Pack on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Piedmont had a senior duo take command as Bennett Church shot 4-for-5 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten assists and Bryan Little dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. Church also set a new season-high mark in steals with five. Another player making a difference was Will Staton, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 11 points and six rebounds.

Piedmont was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Despite the defeat, Parkwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nehemiah Davis shot 42% from the field on his way to 29 points along with six boards and four steals. That was a full 49.2% of the Wolf Pack's points, marking the third time in a row Davis has posted more than a third of the team's points. Micah Davis was another key player, putting up eight points.

The victory got Piedmont back to even at 2-2. As for Parkwood, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
