3A/4A Mideastern Top Player Performances of the Week

Big Game from Hebron As Topsail Won 31-20
Starting off the list is Topsail's Eli Hebron, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hebron rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.
Hebron and Topsail will square off against South Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will pit Hebron up against the Cougars' star quarterback Jayden Daniels. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Ashley found a leader in Quinn Bentley as the team took down New Hanover on Friday. Nobody could stop Bentley as he rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Ashley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Bentley and Ashley will host Hoggard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

South Brunswick had to settle for second on Monday, but Jack Earley sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the defeat, Earley was still balling out as he rushed for 27 yards.
South Brunswick is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5. Earley and South Brunswick will look to defend their home field on Friday against Topsail at 7:00 p.m.

Williams Came Up Big in Laney's 56-3 Victory
Ellis Williams was a major factor in Laney's victory over South Brunswick on Monday. Williams did his part (and then some), rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.
Laney's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3. Williams will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against West Brunswick on Friday.

Paxton Lee Makes It Two for Topsail
The second Topsail player making an appearance here is Paxton Lee, and for good reason. He picked up 1.5 sacks, forced a fumble, and made eight total tackles (3.5 for loss).
