Basketball Recap: Faith Takes a Loss

Faith was the 54-34 winner over Wall when they last played one another back in March of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Faith Longhorns took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wall Eagles on Saturday.

Wall's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brittney Walker, who posted 13 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Walker has become a key player for Wall: the team is 3-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Kjerstad, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 17 points.

Faith's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Wall, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith will challenge Lemmon/McIntosh on Tuesday. As for Wall, they will take on Newell at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Wall is facing Newell at the right time seeing as Newell is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
