Recap: Goldwater Bulldogs vs. Estrella Foothills Wolves
The Goldwater Bulldogs lost against the Estrella Foothills Wolves back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Goldwater took a serious blow against Estrella Foothills, falling 96-25. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Estrella Foothills was led to victory by Chanel Yellowman and Nemo Sidhu. Yellowman scored 16 points along with eight steals and seven assists, while Sidhu scored 24 points along with five steals. Yellowman continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Alina Bowden was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Goldwater's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Estrella Foothills, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Goldwater is on the road again on Thursday and play against Sahuaro at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th. One thing working in Sahuaro's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Estrella Foothills, they will be playing at home against Desert View at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Estrella Foothills is ranked ninth).
