Basketball Game Preview: Charleston Collegiate Sundevils vs. Cathedral Academy Generals

The Charleston Collegiate Sundevils will face off against the Cathedral Academy Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Charleston Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.7 points per game this season.

Charleston Collegiate is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since February 20, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged Dorchester Academy out 63-61. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sundevils.

Charleston Collegiate got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grant Morrison out in front who went 7 for 14 en route to 18 points along with seven assists and six steals. Morrison has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 23 times he's played. Thomas Reed was another key player, going 10 of 15 to rack up 21 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Cathedral Academy came up short against Porter-Gaud on Monday, falling 73-52.

Cathedral Academy's loss dropped their record down to 25-12. As for Charleston Collegiate, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
