Basketball Recap: Duluth Comes Up Short

If Duluth was feeling good fresh off their 45-12 takedown of Berkmar last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Duluth Wildcats took a hard 49-30 fall against the North Gwinnett Bulldogs on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost seven in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Duluth lost, don't look at Krysta Robinson. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Robinson a new career-high in points.

Duluth's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for North Gwinnett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Brookwood the next time they take the court. Duluth will head out to face Brookwood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while North Gwinnett will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
