Baseball Game Recap: Gettysburg Warriors vs. West York Area Bulldogs

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Gettysburg nor West York Area made it on the board until the eighth inning. The Warriors wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Gettysburg has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for West York Area, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Gettysburg will host Palmyra at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3.9, the Cougars 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
