Volleyball Game Preview: Antigo Red Robins vs. Mosinee Indians

Antigo hasn't had much luck against Mosinee recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Red Robins will challenge the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Antigo took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past Lakeland 3-2. The Red Robins haven't had any issues with the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Antigo was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (106-93), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 16-25, 12-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Mosinee made easy work of Tomahawk on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Mosinee walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-15.

Antigo's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Mosinee, their win bumped their record up to 27-3.

Antigo might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Mosinee when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Red Robins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
