Volleyball Game Preview: Maine South Hawks vs. Hersey Huskies

The Maine South Hawks will challenge the Hersey Huskies at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Maine South sitting on six straight wins and Hersey on three.

Maine South is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Niles West, sneaking past 2-1.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 27-25, 28-26.

Maine West typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Hersey proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Warriors.

While Hersey won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20.

Maine South's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-11. As for Hersey, their victory bumped their record up to 22-16.

Maine South was able to grind out a solid win over Hersey in their previous matchup on May 3rd, winning 2-0. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
