Volleyball Recap: Caliche Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Caliche lost against Akron back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Buffaloes fell just short of the Rams by a score of 3-2.

Caliche wouldn't go down easily and took Akron into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 22-25, 15-5.

Caliche's offense was headlined by Ryann Svoboda and Alexis Breidenbach, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Lily Armstrong and her 45 assists. Hayden Walker and Hallie Lewis kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Caliche has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season. As for Akron, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Caliche will take on Wiggins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Akron, they will challenge Hi-Plains at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
