Softball Recap: Grainger Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Grainger's offense. They came up short against the Volunteer Falcons on Friday, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Grizzlies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Grainger's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Volunteer, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Volunteer has already played their next match (against Morristown-Hamblen East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Grainger will be paying especially close attention to the Falcons' game: after the Falcons face off against the Hurricanes, they'll take on Grainger again at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
