Baseball Recap: Gretna East Griffins vs. Blair Bears
Gretna East had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 8-7 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Blair Bears by a score of 7-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Griffins also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Colton Nicholson looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Tyler Cox was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Green, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
