Volleyball Recap: South Comes Up Short

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Peninsula Panthers, falling 3-0. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Peninsula, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South is set to challenge their familiar foe El Segundo at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Peninsula will face off against rival Redondo Union at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
