Baseball Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss

Wellborn lost against Ohatchee two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wellborn Panthers came up short against the Ohatchee Indians, falling 13-3.

Liam Avery made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Cameron O'Brien also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Wellborn's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-9. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Ohatchee, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Wellborn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-0 loss against White Plains on the 18th. As for Ohatchee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-0 defeat against Pike Road on the 18th.
