Baseball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

The Columbia Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Pleasant Plains Cardinals on Tuesday and fell 5-3.

Columbia has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Pleasant Plains, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-5.

Columbia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-2 win against Litchfield on the 14th. As for Pleasant Plains, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-4 victory against Lincoln on the 14th.
