Basketball Game Preview: Chicago Vocational Cavaliers vs. Corliss Trojans

The Chicago Vocational Cavaliers will challenge the Corliss Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Chicago Vocational and 11 for Corliss.

Chicago Vocational played against Christian Fenger Academy and lost via forfeit.

Last Thursday, Corliss didn't have quite enough to beat Christian Fenger Academy and fell 54-52. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 633rd, while the Titans are ranked 210th).

Chicago Vocational's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Corliss, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Everything came up roses for Chicago Vocational against Corliss in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 69-34 victory. In that contest, Chicago Vocational amassed a halftime lead of 40-18, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
