Baseball Recap: Upper Merion Area Find Success

Upper Merion Area won the last time they faced Pottsgrove and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 4-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Tristan Fanning spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Upper Merion Area's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 5-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, Upper Merion Area saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Peck, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Cole Wellington was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Upper Merion Area's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Pottsgrove, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Upper Merion Area will take on Pottstown at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Pottsgrove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
