Soccer Recap: Sunnyside Takes a Loss

Sunnyside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rincon/University Rangers. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Blue Devils haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

Sunnyside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Rincon/University, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7-3.

Sunnyside will host San Luis at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rincon/University, they will head out to challenge Sunnyslope at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rincon/University's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
