Soccer Game Preview: Octorara Area vs. Ephrata

The Octorara Area Braves will head out to challenge the Ephrata Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Octorara Area's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Octorara Area had taken Donegal down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Braves fell 3-1 to the Indians. That's two games in a row now that Octorara Area have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Ephrata earned a 3-1 victory over Garden Spot on Friday.

Octorara Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12-2. As for Ephrata, their win bumped their record up to 4-9-2.

Octorara Area skirted past Ephrata 2-1 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
