Basketball Recap: Micah Quasula Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Ash Fork

Music Mountain's game on Wednesday was close up to the half, which is when they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against the Ash Fork Spartans as the Music Mountain Warriors made off with a 56-33 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Music Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Micah Quasula, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daelian Walema, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 19 points.

Despite the loss, Ash Fork still got an impressive performance from Josue Tellez, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds gave Tellez a new career-high. Miclo Ayala was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points.

Music Mountain pushed their record up to 7-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Ash Fork, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Music Mountain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-58 loss against Joseph City on the 11th. As for Ash Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-25 defeat against Mogollon on the 11th.
