Recap: Pratt Greenbacks vs. Holcomb Longhorns
The Pratt Greenbacks were the 47-34 winner over the Holcomb Longhorns when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Pratt lost to Holcomb on the road by a decisive 35-20 margin on Friday. Pratt has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Pratt still got an impressive performance from Max Younie, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 140 yards and a touchdown.
Damon Mesa was a one-man wrecking crew for Holcomb as he rushed for 252 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Mesa is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last seven games he's played.
Pratt now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Holcomb, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Pratt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Holcomb will face off against Cheney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cheney's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
