Northwest lost to Pilot Grove back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Northwest pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Pilot Grove, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 6-3 loss against Tipton on the 13th. As for Pilot Grove, they have also already played their next game, an 18-2 defeat against Fayette on the 13th.
