Baseball Game Preview: Ojai Valley Spuds vs. Villanova Prep Wildcats

The Ojai Valley Spuds will face off against the Villanova Prep Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ojai Valley managed to slip by Fillmore the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Ojai Valley came up short against Fillmore on Saturday, falling 14-2. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Spuds couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ojai Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Archer Moller, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Keiran Walsh also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Villanova Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 20-5 to Ojai Valley on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.
