Volleyball Recap: St. Peter Saints vs. Willmar Cardinals
St. Peter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Willmar Cardinals.
While St. Peter was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Willmar's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-21.
Leading Willmar to victory were Mallory Beier and Jordan Blahosky. Beier had 12 digs and two aces, while Blahosky had ten digs and two assists. Those two aces gave Beier a new career-high.
St. Peter's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Willmar, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
