Softball Game Preview: Morrice Orioles vs. Caro Tigers

Morrice is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Caro a seven-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Morrice Orioles will welcome the Caro Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Morrice will be strutting in after a victory while Caro will be coming in after a defeat.

Morrice is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Genesee with a sharp 27-6 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Orioles in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Layla Johnson, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Belle Hoy was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Morrice always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .773. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
