Rockmart has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Sonoraville Phoenix at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rockmart will head into Thursday's match on the come-up: they were handed a two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against North Murray last Thursday. Rockmart put the hurt on North Murray with a sharp 9-1 win.
Rockmart's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Madi Sanders, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was MaryKate Dunn, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Rockmart was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Murray only posted a batting average of .200.

Lila Mullinax looked comfortable as she pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lakelin Hall, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Martin, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
