Volleyball Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

Clark came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks. The Chargers have struggled against the Diamondbacks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Clark took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-19.

Zaray Styles paced Clark's offense, picking up four kills. Styles got some help from Reina Bungay and her 13 assists.

Madalynn Tobiasson was the offensive standout of the game as she had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last 12 matches. Ali Perkins also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Clark's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Desert Oasis, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-15.

Looking ahead, Clark will face off against Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Desert Oasis, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Silverado on the 11th.
