Basketball Recap: Taylor County Comes Up Short

Taylor County lost against Madison County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Taylor County Bulldogs had to suffer through a 78-44 loss at the hands of the Madison County Cowboys.

Madison County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jhy Smith, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Smith is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Louis Gaddy Jr, who made all 5 shots he took for 10 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.

Taylor County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Madison County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Taylor County will take on Community Christian in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Taylor County is facing Community Christian at the right time seeing as Community Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Madison County and Jefferson County will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Madison County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
