Hancock Central and Early County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Hancock Central had to settle for second. They took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Early County Bobcats. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Leading Early County to victory were Jimmyan Jones and Jabril Lindsey. Jones dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards, while Lindsey dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. The match was Lindsey's third in a row with at least 15 points. Ahmari McClendon was another key player, putting up ten points.

Hancock Central's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Early County, their win bumped their record up to 18-10.
