Basketball Recap: Columbia Victorious

Columbia won the last time they faced Poplarville and Sariya Robinson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wildcats strolled past the Hornets with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 46-27 thanks in part to Robinson, who posted 16 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Despite the defeat, Poplarville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mia Ditcharo put up 11 points and five boards.

Columbia now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Poplarville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Columbia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-19 victory against McComb on the 12th. As for Poplarville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-32 loss against South Pike on the 12th.
