Softball Recap: Huntington North Vikings vs. Columbia City Eagles

Huntington North had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Columbia City Eagles onto the board and left with a 4-0 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for Huntington North who now have five in a row.

Ava Poulson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Poulson has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Poulson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two triples, a run, and an RBI.
