It's playoff time, and Staples had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Wilton Warriors on Saturday as the Staples Wreckers made off with a 76-54 win. The Wreckers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Staples to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Tobias, who went 7-for-9 en route to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks Tobias has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Udell, who almost dropped a triple-double with 13 points, nine boards, and ten assists.
The victory (which was Staples' fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-3. As for Wilton, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
Coming up, Staples will face off against Ludlowe at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Wilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
