Basketball Recap: Purdue Polytechnic Piles Up the Points Against Clarksville

Purdue Polytechnic picked up another tournament win on Friday. They breezed by the Clarksville Generals to the tune of 57-24. Given the Techies' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Generals are ranked 400th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tj Williams was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 13 en route to 24 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Seay, who posted eight points and six steals.

Purdue Polytechnic was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clarksville only racked up three assists.

Clarksville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Josh Hall, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points and five boards.

The win made it two in a row for Purdue Polytechnic and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Clarksville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Purdue Polytechnic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-50 defeat against Southwestern on the 27th. As for Clarksville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-40 loss against Madison on the 28th.
