It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Pomona ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 34-28 W over the Sierra Vista Dons. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Red Devils' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Andreas Lua threw for 199 yards and two TDs. Lorenzo Chavarin was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards.

When it comes to explaining why Sierra Vista lost, don't look at Ethan Paez. Despite the final result, he threw for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes, and also rushed for 50 yards and one score.

Pomona's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Sierra Vista, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
