Softball Recap: Roosevelt's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Roosevelt had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Santiago Sharks 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted against the Sharks since May 11, 2021.

Roosevelt's victory bumped their record up to 11-6-1. As for Santiago, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Roosevelt is set to challenge their familiar foe Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Santiago will face off against rival Corona at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sharks 3.7, the Panthers 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
