Softball Recap: Cisne Takes a Loss

Cisne fell victim to Waltonville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 12-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Runnin' Lions in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Cisne's loss dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Waltonville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-3.

Coming up, Cisne will welcome Odin/Patoka/Sandoval at 4:30 p.m. on the 12th. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Runnin' Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waltonville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Carmi-White County on Saturday.
