Football Recap: Archbishop Carroll Comes Up Short

Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 36-7 loss at the hands of the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Raiders and Ragdolls are ranked 65th).

Archbishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Archbishop Ryan, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Archbishop Carroll is set to challenge their familiar foe Conwell-Egan Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Archbishop Ryan will face off against rival Lansdale Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raiders and Ragdolls 12.8, the Crusaders 12.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
