Point Loma hadn't done well against Madison recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. The Pointers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Warhawks 55-26. Considering the Pointers have won four games by more than 21  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Point Loma to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Romeo Carter, who picked up 214 receiving yards and six  TDs. That's the most  receiving yards  Carter has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ryder Watson, who threw for 343 yards and five  touchdowns while picking up 17.2 yards per attempt.
 Point Loma didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Madison to a completion percentage of just 50%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players:  Carson Allen and  Ryan Cleator, who each logged one passes deflected. Point Loma wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 65.5%.
 Point Loma didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Matteo Correia. He is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in each of the last seven games he's  played.
 When it comes to explaining why Madison lost, don't look at  Adrian Sola. Despite the final result, he rushed for 116 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Sola was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards. Madison also got help from  Isaiah Murrell, who showed off his sure hands for 80  receiving yards.
Point Loma pushed their record up to 8-0 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 35.5 points over those games. As for Madison,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-6.
 Point Loma has already played their next matchup,  a  24-0  win against Christian on the 24th. As for Madison, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  30-26  victory against San Diego on the 24th.
