Basketball Recap: Scholars Guild Academy Spartans vs. Georgia Force Christian Blue Knights
Scholars Guild Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Georgia Force Christian Blue Knights 83-49.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Henry Rumble, who had 14 points plus five steals. Rumble has been hot , having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Fagan, who went 6 for 15 en route to 15 points plus six rebounds and two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Georgia Force Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than CJ Britt, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten assists. Britt's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Carter McCarn was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Scholars Guild Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Georgia Force Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scholars Guild Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Prep at 7:15 p.m. on December 5th. After both having extra time off, Georgia Force Christian and William & Reed Academy will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th.
