Meanwhile, Lake Stevens put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Arlington a 2-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Lake Stevens' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Arlington are ranked 194th).

Mariner's loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for Lake Stevens, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0-1.
