Soccer Recap: Middleburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ridgeview last Thursday, Middleburg came back down to earth. The Middleburg Broncos fell just short of the Matanzas Pirates by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Broncos couldn't quite close it out.

Middleburg's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Matanzas, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-1.

Middleburg will challenge Sandalwood at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday. Matanzas has already played their next matchup (against Seabreeze), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
