Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Panther Valley

Panther Valley waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Williams Valley Vikings by a score of 7-4. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brady Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Panther Valley let Gavin Yuricheck and Chase Krynock run wild. Yuricheck went 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI, while Krynock went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Yuricheck is becoming a predictor of Panther Valley's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 3-13 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Cameron Caffery, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Panther Valley's record is now 7-13. As for Williams Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

As of now, neither Panther Valley nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
